Privacy Policy

Welcome to buildr (“we”, “our”, or “us”), operated at getbuildr.app. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our AI-powered app builder service.

By using buildr, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy. If you have questions, contact us at hello@getbuildr.app.

Account information: When you sign up, we collect your name, email address, and profile information via Clerk (our authentication provider). You may sign in using email/password or OAuth providers (Google, GitHub).

Usage data: We track the number of AI generations you make to enforce plan limits. This data is stored in our Supabase database.

Project data: Code and files you generate or save within the app are stored in our Supabase database linked to your user ID.

Payment information: Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your payment card details. Stripe provides us with subscription status and plan information.

Feedback: If you submit feedback through the app, we store your message and optionally your email address.

• To send transactional emails (e.g. receipts, password resets) — no marketing emails without consent

We use the following third-party services to operate buildr:

• Clerk (Privacy Policy) — authentication and user management. Clerk stores your email, name, and authentication credentials.
• Supabase (Privacy Policy) — database storage for projects, generations, and feedback. Data is stored on servers in the EU (AWS Frankfurt region by default).
• Stripe (Privacy Policy) — payment processing. Stripe collects payment card details and billing information directly. We receive a customer ID and subscription status.
• Anthropic (Privacy Policy) — AI code generation. Your prompts and the current project files are sent to Anthropic’s Claude API to generate code. Anthropic may use this data per their own privacy policy.
• Vercel — hosting and serverless function execution. Request logs may be retained for a limited period.

We retain your account and project data for as long as your account is active. You may delete your account at any time by contacting hello@getbuildr.app, after which we will delete your data within 30 days.

We use browser cookies to maintain your authentication session (provided by Clerk). We also use localStorage to save your current editor session (code, chat history, active project) client-side for convenience. This data never leaves your browser unless you are signed in and explicitly save a project.

We implement industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption, secure authentication tokens, and role-based database access. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@getbuildr.app. We will respond within 30 days.

buildr is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, contact us immediately.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of buildr after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
